J. Call Design is a New England Home design company located in Southern Maine. We’re an “owner in the store” design firm, with over 45 years experience designing New England style homes.
Our design experience comes from over 25 years in the field, building the projects that we designed, and the last 20 years in the planning and design end only.
We do our very best to work in partnership with our clients during the sometimes daunting process of planning and designing their new home. As a client of ours, you’re important to us. Whether you need plans for your very first house, your mid-life home, or your journey’s end, we’re happy to help. Whether you’re looking for a starter home or a million dollar lake or ocean-side retreat we will do our best to help you design your dream home.
We also design garages, garage additions and “Car-guy” garages.
Whatever your project is we will do our best to provide you with a quality set of plans that are perfectly suited for your own needs and desires, priced as affordably as possible, and delivered as quickly as our work schedule allows.
If you can’t find a home on our site that works for you give us a call and we’ll work together to “turn your dreams into reality”.
Take the time to wander through our site and please, if you have any questions feel free to call us. Our normal work hours are 8:30 am thru 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday. We are closed Friday through Sunday and on major holidays.
Our business Philosophy is simple: Do a great job – at a fair price – in a timely manner.
As a child my parents always impressed on me that

I have tried to live by this simple philosophy all my life and apply it to everything I do. This simple philosophy showed through over the years in the work I produced as a builder and it still shows through today in our work as as one of Maine’s premier home design companies.
If you do wish to use our services. please do not ask us to copy other architect’s or designer’s home plans, because we won’t under any circumstances knowingly do so. Bring us your own thoughts and ideas and we’ll be happy work from there.
